Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of the Zap Star website at zapstar.in and the Zap Star app at app.zapstar.in (together, the "Service"), provided by Zap Star ("Zap Star", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using Zap Star for a business, you confirm that you are allowed to accept these Terms for that business.

1. The Service

Zap Star provides QR menus, table ordering, live orders, menu setup, staff logins, reports and billing tools for cafes, restaurants and other food businesses. Customers scan a QR code and order from their own phone; no app download is needed. We may improve, change or remove features over time.

2. Your account

• You must give accurate information when you sign up and keep it up to date.
• You are responsible for your account and for everything done using your logins, staff links and PINs. Keep them private.
• Tell us straight away at support@zapstar.in if you think your account has been misused.

3. Free trial

New businesses can try Zap Star free for 30 days, with no credit card required. At the end of the trial, you can continue by choosing a paid plan. If you don't, your access may be paused or limited.

4. Fees and payment

After the free trial, the Service is charged at the plan price shown to you when you subscribe, plus applicable taxes. Fees are payable in advance for each billing period. We will tell you before we change our prices; new prices apply from your next billing period.

5. Cancellation

You can cancel anytime. Your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and it will not renew after that. Fees already paid are not refundable, except where required by law.

6. Your content and data

Your menus, prices, photos, orders and business data remain yours. You allow us to store, process and display this content only as needed to provide the Service to you. You confirm that you have the right to use any content you upload, such as logos and photos.

7. Your responsibilities

• Keep your menu, prices, taxes and item availability accurate.
• Make sure your bills, GST and other taxes are correct and filed as required. Zap Star provides tools, but tax compliance is your responsibility.
• Follow all laws that apply to your business, including food safety and consumer protection laws.
• Handle your customers' information properly and lawfully.

8. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the Service. For example, you must not break the law using it, upload harmful or misleading content, try to access other accounts or our systems without permission, interfere with the Service, or copy or resell it without our written permission.

9. Availability

We work to keep Zap Star available and reliable, but the Service needs an internet connection and may sometimes be unavailable because of maintenance, outages or events outside our control. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

10. Third-party services

Zap Star may work with services provided by others, such as WhatsApp, email, payment providers and printers. Your use of those services is governed by their own terms, and we are not responsible for them.

11. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Zap Star is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost sales or lost data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim arose.

12. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or close an account that breaks these Terms, is not paid for, or puts the Service or other users at risk. Where reasonable, we will give you notice first. You can download or ask for a copy of your data before your account is closed.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the new version on this page with a new "Last updated" date and inform account holders of important changes. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the courts in India.
